On occasion, a thought-provoking topic is brought up in class and helps alleviate the everyday numb mindedness which settles in about halfway through first period and lasts until 2:15 in the afternoon. Mostly though, in class I read. Today in history I learned about the Civil Rights Movement and Rosa Parks and Martin Luther King, Jr. If you haven't, you should watch the "I have a dream" speech. How I wish I could have been there myself. When I grow up I want to be the cool teacher who actually teaches things, and doesn't mind so much if a student has an open book hidden under their desk.

Let's make Mondays a national holiday
